Reporting to Senior Intake Counsel. As an Intake Coordinator, you will be the first point of contact for potential clients. Your primary role will be to assess the viability of new cases, provide preliminary legal guidance, and ensure that each client receives excellent service from the moment they contact our firm.
This role requires an understanding of personal injury and medical malpractice law, outstanding communication skills, as well as the ability to manage client relationships.
Key Responsibilities:
Initial Case Screening: Conduct thorough intake interviews with potential clients to gather critical
case information, assess legal issues, and determine whether their case meets the firm's criteria
for representation.
Legal Evaluation: Analyze case details, determine legal viability, and provide potential clients
with initial insights into the strength of their claim.
Client Communication: Act as the first point of contact for potential clients, answering questions
and addressing concerns with empathy and professionalism.
Case Management: Manage the intake process from initial contact through case acceptance,
including scheduling consultations, sending required documentation, and ensuring follow-ups.
Collaboration: Work closely with attorneys and staff to ensure seamless transition from intake to
case handling, including briefing attorneys on potential cases.
Data Management: Maintain organized and detailed records of all intake activities, ensuring that
case information is properly documented in the firm's case management system.
Client Relations: Build and maintain relationships with prospective clients, providing excellent
customer service to ensure a positive experience.
Requirements:
Licensed Attorney in California: Must be an active member in good standing with the California
Bar.
Experience in Personal Injury and Medical Malpractice Law: Prior experience in personal injury
law is preferred.
Strong Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability
to explain complex legal issues to non-lawyers.
Client-Centered Approach: Compassionate, patient, and understanding when dealing with
clients who may be experiencing difficult situations.
Organizational Skills: Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage a high volume of incoming leads
efficiently.
Tech Savvy: Proficient in using case management software, CRM tools, and Microsoft Office
Suite.
Attention to Detail: Strong analytical skills to ensure accurate intake assessments and
documentation.
